Glogging

I just finished my poetry project. I actually chose the lyrics to Dirt by Phish. We had to put it on this site called Glogster. But I decided I would show everyone on my blog so here it is.

Almost Famous

This is one of the best movies I have ever seen. The music is amazing and it makes me jealous of the people who got to live lives like these and in the 70's. When Penny Lane is driving William to the 'Riot House' a reflection of Pink Floyds 'Dark Side of The Moon' album goes across the windscreen. M pointed that out to me when we watched it. I First heard Feel Flows by the beach boys in this movie and I have loved it ever since. I also love it when penny says "I always tell the girls, never take it seriously, if ya never take it seriosuly, ya never get hurt, ya never get hurt, ya always have fun, and if you ever get lonely, just go to the record store and visit your friends. " and "We are not Groupies. Groupies sleep with rockstars because they want to be near someone famous. We are here because of the music, we inspire the music. We are Band Aids. "

Rainbows

I ordered a pair of rainbow sandals online the other day. And I will be getting them in two weeks when I go to the states. Apparently the first week you wear rainbows, you get blisters because you have to break them in. But once you break them in, there supposed to be amazingly comfortable. This will be another item in the closet that M and I both have the exact same of.

Are You Experienced?

Sveden Land

This year I went to Sweden with M to visit our old friend. We traveled on a discount carrier for only 80bucks. We almost missed out flight and we had to cut EVERYBODY in line. Then it turned out that our flight was late anyways :) . It was so good to spend time with my best friends. I missed them for so long and just hanging out and catching up was really fun. The first day we hung out at L's apartment and watched Pineapple Express(which is hilarious, you MUST see it)and hung out. Then the next day we walked all over down town and shopped. It was reallllly cold. We saw lots of fjortis. They are these Swedish girls who wear a ton of make up so that their skin is orange and they put concealer on their lips and wear a ton of mascara so that its all clumpy and they dress skanky(well some of them). We saw whole gangs of them. So anyways, our second day we saw the vasa and saw stocholms old town. Then we went Ice-skating which was really fun.

Allman Brothers

I recently got into drawing. I don't have a natural artistic mind, but the art that I'm going to be drawing has a genre, I'm just not sure what. It's all that trippy, 70's, and hippie kind of genre. I don't know if they have a real name for this type. I know lots of people just in my school who are really good at drawing and their must be millions better than me but I'm just doing this more as a hobby. The Music is what inspires me. So I drew the Allman Brothers Band Logo.

Phish Phan

Phish is going to Knoxville!!!!!!!! And guess what, M got tickets for us to go. It's on June 10th, the last day of school, but I'm going to be leaving early because this is my chance to see one of the best bands ever and see my best friend, M. It was at M's house when I first heard farmhouse and I instantly loved it. Another early song listened too was Dirt. The first chords in the song send chills up my spine every time I hear it. Right now in English I had to choose a poem/lyrics to annotate and I choose the lyrics to dirt.

Washed ashore.....Washed ashore....

I'd like to live beneath the dirt

A tiny space to move and breathe is all that I would ever need
I wanna live beneath the dirt
Where I'd be free from push and shove like all those swarming up above
Beneath their heals I'll spend my time....

Shout your name into the wind......

I'll wiggle in the earth and dew
Shout your name into the wind.......

And sometimes I will think of you

Shout your name into the wind.....

And if you ever think of me kneel down and
kiss the earth and show me what this thought is worth

I'll never hear your voice again
Shot your name into the wind.....

When I first heard this song I thought it was about death, but I found a new meaning to the song. It's about being fed up with every one around you and being tired of the "push and shove" of life, and kind of wanting to just crawl into a hole and get away from everyone, although there would be someone you would leave behind and you would hope that they would remember you and not forget about you and think about you from time to time because you would think of them often.

Moscow Softball

The best softball trip ever. We got stuck on Sunday when we were leaving and we got to stay another night in the hotel and miss school on Monday. It was sweet. Plus we got to go to Starbucks again. I was housed with Martha and that was also really fun. In the end we came in 3rd, but hey at least we beat the penguins.
